Rebecca and Alex Archibald dairy farm in Upper Stewiacke, NS on a farm that is more than 60 years old. Rebecca is the 5th generation to farm on their property in her family. Alex and Rebecca started farming on their own just over 3 years ago under the name “Valleyside Holsteins Ltd.” They milk about 35 cows and crop 180 acres of land as feed for the cattle. Both Rebecca and Alex enjoy showing cows at fairs and exhibitions.  They farm because they love the landscape, working with animals, and the close-knit agricultural community they are apart of.
