Working outside and being self-employed are two reasons Brendan Neima and Angharad Wylie love being farmers. They also get to learn about and use a lot of different skills, like plumbing and carpentry. Brendan and Angharad own and operate Good Clean Farm. It’s a small-scale farm located in Salmon River, Nova Scotia.

The farm has been in operation since 2017. It’s a certified organic farm that produces a wide range of vegetables. That includes everything from salad mix to cabbages and other vegetables to make naturally fermented foods like cortido, kimchi, and sauerkrauts.

Brendan and Angharad do everything by hand and grow their food using a no-till system. Good Clean Farm products can be found found year-round at the Truro Farmers’ Market or directly from the farm as they have a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
