Blake and Rebecca Jennings of Bayview Poultry Farms Ltd. farm along side Blake’s father Glen. The farm is about 116 years old and the Jennings will be welcoming a new farm addition this year.
The Jennings farm 15,000 laying hens for egg production. They raise their own replacement pullets and have a few beef cows, horses and goats as well. And, the farm known for Blake’s Pumpkin Jungle which is 70 acres of pumpkins grown each year. They also grow 20 acres of forage crops.
You can find Bayview Poultry eggs in local grocery stores. The eggs are graded and distributed by Maritime Pride. During pumpkin season, you can find pumpkins at Sobey’s locations across the Maritimes and visit the farm. They also sell hay, squash, gourds and straw.
As a 5th generation farmer Blake loves to supply fresh, local products to Nova Scotians.
