Meet your Farmer is an initiative developed by the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture to help connect people to farmers in Nova Scotia. We will be profiling some of Nova Scotia’s farm families, sharing their favourite homecooked recipes, and updating everyone on food and farming events taking place throughout the year.
And, we will also share where you can purchase your favourite products from our province’s farmers, supporting both the local economy and efforts to sustain Nova Scotia’s food supply.
LEARN MORE: ABOUT US
Families across Nova Scotia want to be able to sit down at their tables and feel safe and secure in how their food was made, and delivered. We all have a role to play in making sure our food supply remains safe and secure. We, as farmers and the food system want to help by sharing our stories from one end of the province to the other. Sharing who we are, why we do what we do, and how we are working hard to keep Nova Scotians safe and nourished.
LEARN MORE: YOUR FARMERS

Our province has a number of measures in place to oversee food safety.
