Your Farmer, Your Nova Scotia. Photo Contest Official Rules

Eligibility
– The Your Farmers, Your Nova Scotia. photo contest is open to legal residents of Nova Scotia, who are 19 years or older at the time of entry.
– Employees of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Contest Period
– The contest begins on Monday October 21st and ends at midnight on Monday November 4th.

How to Enter
– Follow Meet Your Farmer on Facebook or Instagram and post a photo on their own Facebook or Instagram page that fits the contest theme: “What do you love about Nova Scotia agriculture?
– Ideas include: How agriculture supports your community. Photos of your favorite ingredients or meals using Nova Scotian products. A particular view or landscape that showcases farms and farming. Your favorite piece of farm equipment or your favorite farmer. We want to see what Nova Scotia’s farms farmers and agriculture community means to you.
– Use the hashtag #YourFarmersYourNovaScotia in their photo caption. And, tag Meet Your Farmer Facebook or Instagram page in the post (use @nsfaMeetYourFarmer).
– Multiple entries per person are allowed, but each photo must be unique.
– Photos do not have to be new. Feel free to scroll your camera roll and find your favorites from winter, spring, summer or fall.

Entry Requirements
– Photos must be original, taken by the entrant, and must not contain any copyrighted or inappropriate material.
– Entrant must have agreement from any individuals depicted in the image to share their likeness.
– The photo must relate to the contest theme.
– No purchase necessary.

Winner Selection
The winner will be chosen randomly from all eligible entries.

Prize
– One Grand Prize: a gift basket from Taste of Nova Scotia featuring products grown or made by members of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture.
– Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Winner Notification
– Winner will be announced on November 5th via a post on the Meet Your Farmer Facebook and Instagram page.
– The winner will be notified through Facebook or Instagram direct message.
– Winners must respond within 5 days to claim their prize. If no response is received, an alternate winner will be selected.

Usage Rights
– By entering the contest, participants grant the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture the right to use their submitted photos for marketing and promotional purposes, including social media, website, and print materials.

Disqualification
– The Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these rules, including but not limited to the use of inappropriate, offensive, or copyrighted material.

– By participating, entrants agree to release Meta from any responsibility or liability in connection with the contest.

General Conditions
– The Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest at any time.
