Wild Rose Farm is an environmentally conscious market garden, producing high quality, nutrient dense food. A registered farm since 1997, Gilberte and Siegmar Doelle haved lived on the property in Gilbert’s Cove since 2003. Through biointensive agricultural practices with some permaculture methods, they aim for maximum yields, from a minimum area of land, while simultaneously increasing biodiversity and sustaining the fertility of the soil.
Their purpose is to create living environments that are harmonious, sustainable, and productive, while greatly reducing the work and energy required to maintain them.
Vegetables, herbs and flowers are grown for farm gate and market sales, with a summer and fall CSA program. They also sell farm-made preserves, eggs and beef.
They grow year around. Be sure to visit them at the farm stand in Gilbert’s Cove, Sainte Anne University parking lot or Annapolis Royal Farmers and Traders Market.
